Nicholas joined us as CWPL’s Executive Director in September 2025. After receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations from Tulane University, he decided to pursue public lands full-time, prompting a move to Colorado in 2019. He received his Master of Science in Outdoor Recreation Economy from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2025, where he extensively studied public lands policy and natural resources management.

He previously worked for the Mike Johnston for Mayor campaign, focusing his efforts on forming the campaign’s climate and transportation policy during the 2023 Denver mayoral race. He also mastered the ins and outs of corporate sustainability while working for VF Corporation before joining CWPL

Nicholas is an avid skier, cyclist, kayaker, fisherman, and climber, and devotes himself when he’s not playing outside to protecting the lands we love so dearly.
